From the East
On September 26th, Shiloh Lodge performed the Master Degree for Bother Sam Iovino. This event was made even more memorable with Jim Brown, Past Grand Master sitting in the West, and Most Worshipful Grand Master Philip A. Lorenzen in the East. This was truly a very impressive ritual.
On October 13th, Shiloh Lodge has the honor of being involved in a Cornerstone Ceremony at the Omaha Home for Boys. Shiloh will open their Lodge at 9:30am, followed by the receiving of Most Worshipful Grand Master Philip A. Lorenzen. Ladies will be allowed in the Lodge for the receiving of Mr. Lorenzen. I encourage all Brothers to invite their spouses to attend with them.
I would like to thank everyone with their continued effort in keeping Shiloh busy with degree work. We have three months left in this year. Lets all make a strong commitment for Membership these next few months. Together we can help Shiloh have one of their best years for Membership.
If you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker, relative, member of a social group that you belong to, … that you think would make a good Mason but are anxious about asking them, please give me a call, the Grand Lodge has given us some great tools for recruitment of new members!
Fraternally Yours,
John Maxell

The Grand Lodge of Nebraska Education Committee has recommended the following book to improve our knowledge of Freemasonry.
This beautiful, richly illustrated book provides chapters on the origins of Freemasonry, the history of the Craft, an introduction to our ideals of wisdom, strength and beauty, and a gallery of 275 famous Masons. It is a joy to climb into this book, not only for its wonderful, yet easily comprehended text, but also for the visual extravaganza of photos, paintings and graphics that are so important in telling the story of Freemasonry.Freemasonry- A Celebration of the Craft By John Hamill & Robert Gilbert
