From the East

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members at Shiloh Lodge and their wives for making 2004 a very successful year.  This year we started some new social activities, community activities & fundraisers and brought back some old programs to our lodge activities.

Some of the activities and fundraisers that we completed to contribute to this year’s success are the following: Sweetheart’s Dinner, Family & Friend’s Cookout, Golf Outing, National Treasure Movie, Christmas Party, Juneteenth Parade, Celebrate Cycling Bike Tour, Pancake Breakfast Fund Raiser, Shiloh Car Wash Fund Raiser and Spaghetti Fund Raiser.

A Master may be the “coach” of the team but his efforts are nil if he doesn’t have a well tuned “offense & defense”.  You all played your individual roles on our team with pride.  All of you made this last year very easy for me by giving me your undivided support.  Thanks to each and every one of you.

I would like to welcome Todd Simpson our new Worshipful Master of Shiloh Lodge for the 2005 Masonic year.  We all wish him a great year knowing that he and our other new officers will appreciate our undivided support throughout the coming year.  You may count on us, Todd!

Congratulations to Ivan Vrtiska who will be installed as Grand Master of Nebraska on February 13, 2005 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Omaha.  Ivan's Installation will be one of the most enjoyable Masonic functions for 2005. Shiloh is proud to have one of it's own Brethren elected to this prestigious office. Let's support Ivan in any way that we can.

As my Masonic year comes to an end, I feel great satisfaction in the efforts our members put forth to make our lodge a success.

           Again Thank You!

Fraternally Yours,

Cleo Miller Sr.
    Worshipful Master-2004

The Mason’s Character

Freemasonry has always been true to its name, and the real Mason is the builder of the temple of his own character.  Its mission is to furnish high ideals for the individual, that may be reflected in his actions towards his fellow men.  The Masonic ideal teaches that moral and spiritual attainments are far more important than the material and physical.
