From the East
By the time you read this, Cleo Miller should be our new Worshipful Master. We all wish him a great year knowing that he and our new officers will appreciate our undivided support throughout the coming year. You may count on us, Cleo!
Unless something disastrous happens between now and February 7th, R\W\ Ivan Vrtiska will be elected Deputy Grand Master which will guarantee him a term as Grand Master in 2005. We can’t congratulate Ivan enough and also thank him for his dedication to the Fraternity. Shiloh can be very proud indeed to have one of its members achieve this great honor.
As our Masonic year comes to an end, I feel great satisfaction in the effforts our members put forth to make our lodge a success. A Master may be the “conductor” but his efforts are nil if he doesn’t have a well tuned “orchestra”. You all played your individual instruments with pride. All of you made this last year a breeze for me by giving me your undivided support. Thanks to each and every one of you.
Fraternally Yours,
Charles W. Amidon

How many MM's does it take to change a light bulb? - one to change it, one to find in the minutes when it was last changed, and one to sit on the side lines and continually mumble, "They just don't change light bulbs like they used to!"
A little before Lodge is about to open an old man totters up to the Tyler and says, "I'm here to receive my 2nd degree."
Well, they all look at this guy, who really is older than dirt, and they ask him to explain.
"I was entered on July 4, 1922. Now I'm ready for my 2nd degree."
So they go scurrying for the records, and sure enough, there was his name, entered on July 4, 1922.
"Where have you been all these years? What took you so long to be ready for your 2nd?" they ask.
He replied: "I was learning to subdue my passions!"
