Shiloh Lodge #327
February 2000 Trestleboard
From the East
To every brother who assisted in the installation of officers a heart felt thank you. I appreciated the help and counsel which were given for a successful installation.
I would like to promote three goals for Shiloh during this year.
The first goal is to use our great resources of knowledge from our vast supply of Past Grand Masters and Past Masters. We will have more organized school of instructions to polish up our ritual work.
They are all very willing to help us improve but we need to be there on those nights for instruction.
Second, I have placed some great talented brothers in charge of our spring and fall fund raisers and with everyone's help we can improve the financial status of the lodge. This will enable us to extend a larger hand to our charitable causes during the year. If you are unable to attend a fundraiser please purchase tickets to support your lodge and give the tickets to a friend.
The final goal I hope to reach is to bring the brothers of Shiloh together outside the lodge more often. One example is a planned golf day we are looking at in May. Each member can help with this by contacting a lodge officer or myself if you, a relative, or even a friend of yours needs a helping hand in some way. An example would be if your friend who is ill needs yard work done. 2 or 3 Shiloh brothers will come over for an hour or so and do it for them. If you are doing some remodeling and you need an extra hand it would get a few brothers together. This will help us make the masons of Shiloh more visible to the community.
It looks like we have a few new petitions lined up to start off the new year busy.
See you in Lodge.
Fraternally yours,
Rick Benson
